In July 2008 I managed to visit the Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany. Today I made the Bauhaus in my office. While I slowly cut around each piece then glued it all into shape and then into place I could remember walking through and taking photos of each part of the building. An amazing place with a fantastic legacy. Shame it lay in disrepair for so long. Fortunately it and the Meisterhaus' are being cleaned up so that the design history can be enjoyed by all the good little designers and architects. You can even stay in the old student accommodation, (the part in the foreground of the 5th photo) for cheaper than the most hotels.
Now i just need to find somewhere to hang my new model.
