Having been trapped in the city since February it was time for the great escape. Even if only for a day. Over the last few weeks I have been slack on the creative side of life so getting out and experiencing life away from the hustle and bustle should kick start me again.
I even sacrificed a sketch crawl starting in my own backyard, Newtown. So I will have to fill my sketchbook some other way.
For the escape we headed out to the Blue Mountains and went for a walk around Wentworth Falls. The 30 minute stroll extended to almost 2 hours when we decided to continue along National pass. Luckily the weather held off and the rain skirted the cliff we were walking along. Finished off with a hot drink and some cake at the end we had certainly forgotten about the pace of the city.
Unfortunately the long weekend traffic really became a drag with the first 10k's taking forever. But we are home now and all the better for it.
